Terms of Service

Last updated: November 7, 2026

These are the rules for using Shanoware. They're written to be read. If something isn't clear, ask me (contact details at the bottom).

1. What Shanoware is

Shanoware is a free app made by Shano for playing Shano's games. It costs nothing, and there's nothing to buy.

2. Personal use only

You can use Shanoware and its games for your own personal fun. You can't use them for business or to make money.

3. What belongs to Shano

The games, art, characters, story, sounds and code in Shanoware belong to Shano, unless they're credited to someone else (for example, the fonts listed under About in Settings).

That means you may not:

4. Accounts are for ages 13 and up

You need an account, made with your email address, to use Shanoware. You must be 13 or older to make one. If you're under 13, please don't sign up. If I find an account that belongs to someone under 13, I'll delete it and its data.

Keep your sign-in emails to yourself. Anyone with access to your email inbox can sign in as you.

Don't cheat in ways that change your saves or stats on our servers, and don't try to break or overload Shanoware. If you do, I may close your account.

5. Content warning

Shano's games include horror, jump scares and flashing images. If loud sudden scares or flashing light could harm you, for example if you have photosensitive epilepsy, please don't play, or talk to a doctor first.

6. No guarantees

Shanoware is offered as it is. I work hard to keep it running and keep your saves safe, but I can't promise it will always work, never lose data, or be free of bugs. Exporting your saves now and then (Settings, Saves) is a good idea.

Games may change, get updated, or be removed. Shanoware itself may change or shut down.

As far as the law allows, Shano isn't responsible for any loss or damage from using Shanoware.

7. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the latest version. For big changes, I'll also post a note in What's new. If you keep using Shanoware after a change, you're agreeing to the new terms.
